ABOUT

My works intend to explore new ways of seeing ceramics, and to bridge the gap between sculpture and utilitarian object. I wish to create a dialogue between traditional craft and modern technology without losing the human touch in the creative process.

Since 2014, I have started using paper and clay as a medium for my creation. I am always intrigued by the fragility and versatility of both materials, and that was the starting point of my ever-evolving Paper Series. This project allows me to explore the possibilities of both materials, and to push myself looking into them from a different perspective.

My design background has a strong influence on my works, and most of them are reflected upon the essence of form, structure and functionality. I want to strip off the unnecessary through abstraction, hoping the simplicity and purity of my works could bring a timeless beauty to our daily life.
